For my PhD I will be investigating factors affecting spider diversity and the role of spiders in structuring communities on green roofs.
In my M.Sc. my research focused on explaining spider diversity in pomegranate orchards in Israel. In this research, the effects of climatic gradient and landscape properties on spider diversity in pomegranate orchards were investigated by testing predictions based on general ecological hypotheses. A novel hypothesis, the agricultural landscape evenness hypothesis (ALE), was tested.
I am interested in green roofs, biodiversity, global climate change, conservation biological control, arachnology and entomology
